This weeks WordPress Photo Challenge is called Mirror and is all about reflections.
Expressions and quotes
The horse is your mirror,
It will never flatter you,
It reflects your temperament,
It also reflects your mood swings.
To be angry with your horse,
Is to be angry with yourself.
If you are fearful, a horse will back off. If you are calm and confident, it will come forward. For those who are often flattered or feared, the horse can be a welcome mirror of the best in human nature. ~ Clare Balding
The horse is a mirror to your soul. Sometimes you might not like what you see. Sometimes you will. ~ Buck Brannaman
I call horses ‘divine mirrors’ – they reflect back the emotions you put in. If you put in love and respect and kindness and curiosity, the horse will return that. ~ Allan Hamilton
Show me your horse and I will tell you who you are. ~ English proverb
Your horse is your mirror.

Last weeks theme of the WordPress challenge was ‘Optimistic’.
How do I express my optimism in a picture when it comes to horses?
This picture came to mind. It is taken on a moorland called Dartmoor in Devon, England.
This foal is a Dartmoor pony and his mom and the rest of the herd were patiently waiting and watching it from a distance. I wanted to connect with this free roaming horse. I was curious if I could win over his curiosity and come closer. He did!
Horses inspire me to stay optimistic and live in the momen. They are so gentle, so forgiving and so patient with us. They are a great inspiration to me!

Sometimes I come at the barn and Kyra laughs:
Maybe I must not take it personal…..
I found a few other pictures with quotes.
I like positive reinforcement because it makes you focus on the positive, on all what goes right. And what you focus on, grows. I don’t have to nag my husband about household chores, I have reinforced him a LOT for doing those things. I even don’t have to point out what needs to be done. My favourite day is when I go out to work – read: give lessons! That is my passion, to show passionate horse owners how they can radically change their bond with their horse- and when I come home our son is well taken care off and the whole house is clean. This is when I made the picture quote below.
This picture is taken by my lovely husband. It was kind of funny do things the other way around and it was quite hard to keep Kyra of the pedestal, LOL.
Sometimes I post pictures with quotes on my Facebook page HippoLogic (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hippologic/530779160349853?ref=br_rs.
Maybe it is nice to post them here too (so you guys can pin them easily 😉 )
My happy place is at the barn. This is our barn cat sleeping in Kyra’s hay
We don’t trust words, we trust actions. Ziggy on the left and Kyra on the right.
