5 and half years later…

A lot has happened in since my last post in 2009.

We have been emigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Kyra came with us! She has learned an incredibly amount of behaviours. It these 4 years I haven’t posted. I don’t know where to start. 🙂

Summary:

Kyra is under saddle now, I changed to 100% positive reinforcement (reward-based training) and it really works best. It creates solid behaviour and… I don’t have to use force and threats anymore, which feels good to me. We still do long reining. She can stand, walk, trot, all the figures, yield, shoulder inn, shoulder out, travers and we just started cantering on the long reigns. We did a small jump, a trail ride, a Horse Agility competition (4th place) and we do ride along the road.

Here is a picture how she looks like now.

We have been trail riding in the woods, we did a Horse Agility course (4th place), we ride along the road, do work-in-hand, long reining, trick training, dressage and sometimes a little jump.
